FLAGS Across The Nation is turning 8 years old on 9/11. We started as volunteers wanting to make a patriotic difference in the lives of civilians, military, veterans and people of all ages.
We continue as volunteers. No one is paid and often bills are thru paid by the personal accounts of board members and volunteers. Cash donations have helped us with mailing, gifts to our troops and basic expenses.
How can you get involved? Inspire your children or students to write a letter. Consider sewing a blanket. Help spread the word that there are Americans who love the USA. Times are tough across the nation. Our spirits of caring and patriotism still prevail.
Think about how you can give your time and heart to make a patriotic difference in the lives of children and our military and our veterans.
The deadline for art submissions is drawing near. If you have yet sent in your art do it today!

Lexxi said, “Memorial Day is much more than a day off at the beach…The soldiers don’t get a day off. They are making endless sacrifices everyday to keep us all safe…I want to inspire everyone to take a moment and really give the thanks
the deserve.”
We’ve been around since 9/11. And that is when Tiffiny Lilley joined as a volunteer… She’s our web girl. Tiffiny and her team have donated their time and services to FLAGS for the past 8 years. We thank them, thank them, thank them. All of us at FLAGS (all volunteers) love our new site!
Charlotte area Veterans reach out to deployed troops. Several caring Vets donated money to buy phone cards for deployed soldiers, now in Iraq.
Children created hand-prints in a Flags Across The Nation patriotic event in the Town of Matthews, NC. On June 16, children made hand messages for our wounded warriors. The children placed the messages in our Operation SnailMail postal box. The messages will be sent to our wounded warriors who are being cared for in an American military hospital in Germany.
